Parqués is not parcheesi with a different name. Capturing is compulsory, and if you could capture and didn't, anyone at the table can call it — a soplo — and your piece goes to jail. Every turn asks two questions at once: what suits me, and what did the others notice I could have done.

The rules, whole

No cuts and no “simplified for mobile”. What follows is what a table in Colombia actually plays.

Compulsory capture, and the soplo

Could capture and didn't? Anyone can call it and your piece goes to jail. Call it wrongly and you pay: your most advanced piece goes instead.
Boards for 4, 6 and 8

The eight-seat board is a party — eight colours, eight starts, and a lap long enough that somebody is always within reach.
Four optional variants

Walls, a 20 for capturing, a 10 for crowning, and a four-piece cap per square. Chosen when the table is created and always visible to whoever joins.
Machines that play well

Three levels, and they differ by how much they fear danger, not by cheating. The hard one weighs its risk on every square, watches the others, and calls your soplo when you slip.
Nobody gets stranded

A configurable turn clock or no clock at all, a pause the whole table agrees to, and a unanimous vote to remove whoever vanished. Lose your connection and the game plays two minutes for you.
With whoever you want

Public tables, an invite link for the group chat, friends by player number, blocks, and spectators who can watch without touching anything.
